Seasoned Guidance for Your Success

Seasoned Guidance for Your Success

We provide seasoned advice stemming from over two decades of experience. Beyond experience, our lead advisor is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ with a masters degree in Engineering. The CFP® designation is a distinction shared by only 20 percent of financial advisors and as such, we adhere to a code of ethics, high standards and education requirements that are not applicable to most advisors. It also means that we are a fiduciary who is not only uniquely qualified—but are legally bound to work in your best interest and will only recommend solutions that are the right fit for you.

What Does it Mean to Be a CFP®?

The CFP® designation is a mark of excellence – it’s your assurance that the financial planner you’re working with is someone who is not only competent but committed to high professional standards. A CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional must master a list of nearly 100 topics on integrated financial planning in a variety of major planning areas followed by a 2-day, 10 hour, Board certified exam. Once awarded the CFP® designation, they must continue to meet a set of rigorous standards and agree to adhere to the principles of integrity, objectivity, competence, fairness, confidentiality, professionalism and diligence when working with clients. Tracee has been a CFP® for over 14 years. • Fiduciary Duty

    At all times when providing Financial Advice to a Client, a CFP® professional must act as a fiduciary, and therefore, act in the best interests of the Client. The following duties must be fulfilled:

  • Duty of Loyalty

    A CFP® professional must:

    i. Place the interests of the Client above the interests of the CFP® professional and the CFP® Professional’s Firm;

    ii. Avoid Conflicts of Interest, or fully disclose Material Conflicts of Interest to the Client, obtain the Client’s informed consent, and properly manage the conflict; and

    iii. Act without regard to the financial or other interests of the CFP® professional, the CFP® Professional’s Firm, or any individual or entity other than the Client, which means that a CFP® professional acting under a Conflict of Interest continues to have a duty to act in the best interests of the Client and place the Client’s interests above the CFP® professional’s.

  • Duty of Care

    A CFP® professional must act with the care, skill, prudence, and diligence that a prudent professional would exercise in light of the Client’s goals, risk tolerance, objectives, and financial and personal circumstances.

  • Duty to Follow Client Instruction

    CFP® professionals must comply with all objectives, policies, restrictions, and other terms of the Engagement and all reasonable and lawful directions of the Client.
